The Active Vision placed third among Hungarian companies, otherwise 199th, in Deloitte’s Technology Fast500 survey. The survey was conducted among the most rapidly growing private and public companies, of 24 countries in the EMEA region, operating in technology, media, telecommunications, health care, or green technology sectors. The ranks are based on past 5 years’ growth rates. Deloitte’s 10 years old Technology Fast500 program is the most objective ranking system of the technological sector in the EMEA region. Participating companies are required to be on the market for at least 5 years, and to have at least 50.000 EUR net income in the basis year and 800.000 EUR in the actual fiscal year. The Fast500 – small, medium sized or public – companies managed to become leaders of the hardware, software, semiconductor, Internet, telecommunications, media, entertainment, health care, and green technology sectors through combining technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
There were 7 Hungarian companies on the list this year. The Viala Plc. reached the highest rank with a net income growth rate of 1071 percent in the past five years. They are the developers of NetPincér.hu and their scope of activity also includes IT and online consultancy. The Active Vision placed 3rd with its 862 percent net income growth rate.
This year the London-based Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) conquered the first place of the list by reaching an enormous growth rate of 26.885 percent in the past five years. The winner company provides integrated digital- and mobile communications services for worldwide acknowledged “blue-chip” companies.
Otherwise the software industry dominates the list with 202 companies, accounting for the 40% of the total list. It is followed by these sectors: Internet 22%, telecommunications/network building (15%), semiconductor/parts/electronics (9%), biotechnology/medicine/medical aids (6%), green technology (3%) and CPU/device sectors (3%). The remaining 2% goes to media and entertainment sector companies. The software industry had an outstanding performance while from the Top 5 companies 3, and from the Top 50 companies 21 operate in this field.
